Review
I have never read any book by Sarah J. Maas but the internet (aka Booktube and Bookstagram) seemed obsessed with her work and I couldn’t find one person who hadn’t read something by her. And because I am a sheep when it comes to books, I decided I’d pick up a copy, despite the fact that after reading the back, I was absolutely sure this wasn’t going to be the book for me. I don’t normally reach for these, fantasy/dystopia/magical world books. They just don’t draw me in.

But, like I said, I picked it up because if everyone is talking about a book then I have to at least give it a shot. And you guys. I can’t even express how freakin’ good this book was!! I was captivated from the first chapter. It was so well written, on top of having the perfect amount of interesting plot and romance to it. I think that’s what really made me love this book. Maas is truly an excellent writer. I honestly haven’t been this excited to read a series since Harry Potter. And trust me – coming from me, that is an incredible compliment since I don’t hold anyone to the standards of JK Rowling (she’s truly in a league of her own.) That being said, Maas really is the closest second I’ve had the pleasure of reading!

You’ll have to excuse my excitement, but I can’t get over how shockingly good this book was! I’m so happy there are still more to read in the series. I’m going to have to go pick up the rest tomorrow.

I would recommend this book to literally anyone on the planet who likes to read good fiction/fantasy. Although I doubt there are many people who haven’t read these yet! I think I might have been the last person on earth!

Bear is trying to figure out why we haven’t read this before!

Disclaimer: All thoughts and opinions are simply my own honest ones and I have not been asked to write this review. Not everyone may agree with my thoughts and that’s okay! I hope you enjoy reading about mine.
