Yes. I bought all of these books in about the span of one week. I should not be allowed a day off of work because I end up spending everything I have! Now, you’re looking at books from a thrift store and Indigo. So let’s get started!
After We Fell (Anna Todd)
After We Collided (Anna Todd)
After Ever Happy (Anna Todd)
Before (Anna Todd)
So I basically finished After and then went straight to Indigo and picked up the rest of the series. I have mixed feelings about these books but I’ll save them for my review. (Side Note: I just noticed After We Collided isn’t in the picture because I had already put it in my May TBR pile – because I have a sickness and like to have five months worth of monthly TBR piles already picked out. But I just wanted to mention that I did buy that one, too!)
The Near Witch (V.E. Schwab)
As I was heading from the cash register to the doors at Indigo I somehow managed to do the one thing I’ve forbidden myself from doing – looking at anything other than the ground in front of me. And because of my lack of care for the rules … my eyes found this little guy sitting on a shelf. Every human in the world has read a V.E. Schwab book and I’ve been meaning to grab one to see what all the hype is about. So obviously this was a sign from the heavens above and I got back in line and paid for this one, too.
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (Gail Honeyman)
This one I picked up the night before when I went to the book store directly after work. Again, I’m seeing it everywhere so I wanted to see what it was all about! I have no self control.
Big Little Lies (Liane Moriarty)
The Girl Who Played With Fire (Stieg Larsson)
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (Stieg Larsson)
These ones just caught my eye as one’s I’ve heard a lot about but haven’t read and I managed to find them in pretty decent condition so I picked them up.
Have a Little Faith (Mitch Albom)
Ya’ll know I’m a fan of Albom’s so when I find a book of his I haven’t read before I snatch it right up. Again, amazing condition!
Gone Girl (Gillian Flynn)
City of Ashes (Cassandra Clare)
City of Bones (Cassandra Clare)
Once more, books I’ve heard so much about but haven’t read. I’ve been wanting to give Cassandra Clare a shot so this was a nice find. And somehow, for someone who loves psychological thrillers as much as I do, I’ve never actually read Gone Girl.
The Hate U Give (Angie Thomas)
This one shocked me. I couldn’t believe how fortunate I was for finding this at a thrift store and in great condition, too. Very lucky and another book I’ve wanted to check out since it’s all I see on Instagram!
When am I going to have time to read all of these, you might ask? Well, that’s an excellent question. My only answer is … sometime before I die? Hopefully? Mind you, I have made the conscious decision that starting in May I’m going to try to get 15 books read each month. I don’t entirely think that’s possible but if I give up sleep I should come in somewhere around there!
