May 2019 Wrap Up

Alright, real quick. This month wasn’t the best. I didn’t get as much reading done as I’d hoped. But anything is better than nothing!

One.
A Court of Frost and Starlight (Sarah J. Maas)
Rating:
5 Stars
Genre: Fantasy/Romance
Recommendation: You guessed it: I’m obsessed
Overall: Necessary to the plot? No. Adorable and worth the read, despite that. Yes.

Two.
I Know Who You Are (Alice Feeney)
Rating:
3 Stars (I’m starting to think I was to generous with this rating …)
Genre: Thriller
Recommendation: Not worth the hype
Overall: Just … don’t bother. Your life will not be changed whether you read this book or not.

Five.
After We Collided (Anna Todd)
Rating:
2 Stars
Genre: New Adult/Romance
Recommendation: Read it. But only because it’s one of those books that aren’t transcending time and space amazingness but just catch and all hell
Overall: Worse than the first book in the series (this is number two) and lacked an actual climax. But still catchy – dammit.

Six.
An Anonymous Girl (Greer Henrdicks & Sarah Pekkanen)
Rating:
1 Star
Genre: Thriller
Recommendation: Pick up The Wife Between Us instead
Overall: This book started out strong but fell flat at the end when things should have really started shocking the reader.
Review to Come

Seven.
The Perfect Girlfriend (Karen Hamilton)

Rating: 1 Star
Genre: Fiction
Recommendation: Pass
Overall: A lot of lead up to a pretty flat ending.
